Welcome to Little Bloom

A dental home where the whole family feels at ease

Little Bloom Family Dental started with a simple idea: a trip to the dentist should feel like visiting friends. Our bright office in downtown Oakville has a reading nook, a prize box, ceiling TVs and a team that knows every patient by name.

We care for tiny first teeth, busy teens and the grown-ups in between, so your family can book together and leave together, usually with a few stickers to spare.

  • Back-to-back family bookings in one trip
  • Gentle, tell-show-do care for nervous kids
  • Parents welcome in the room, always
  • Direct billing and clear, upfront estimates

Dr. Maya Okafor, DDS · Founder & family dentist

Dr. Maya has spent more than a decade helping kids (and their parents) discover that the dentist can be a pretty fun place. She is known for her calm voice, her silly tooth puppets and her talent for turning a checkup into a game.

She opened Little Bloom in 2014 to create the practice she wished she had growing up: unhurried, honest and bright. Today she cares for three generations of Oakville families, many of whom first sat in her chair as toddlers.

My four-year-old was terrified of dentists. Dr. Maya counted his teeth like a treasure hunt and now he asks when he can go back!

We bring all three kids and both parents in on one Saturday morning. Organized, kind and genuinely fun. Best family routine we have.

As an anxious adult I felt completely looked after. They explained everything and let me take breaks whenever I needed.

Good questions from curious parents

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Our front desk team loves a good question, big or small.

Call or text us

(555) 012-7788
When should my child have their first dental visit?
We recommend a first visit by your child’s first birthday, or within six months of their first tooth. Those early visits are short, relaxed and mostly about getting comfortable with us.
Do you see parents and grown-ups too?
Absolutely. Little Bloom is a family practice, so parents, grandparents and teens are all welcome. Many families book back-to-back visits so everyone is seen in one trip.
Can I stay with my child during the appointment?
Yes, parents are always welcome in the room. Some older kids enjoy a little independence, and we are happy to follow whatever feels best for your family.
Do you direct bill insurance?
We direct bill most insurance plans and will happily check your coverage before your visit, so there are no surprises at the front desk.
My child is nervous. How do you help?
We use a tell-show-do approach, plenty of praise, calm voices and short breaks. Nothing happens without an explanation first, and we never rush a nervous little one.
What should we do in a dental emergency?
Call us right away at (555) 012-7788. We keep time open each day for urgent visits, and our voicemail shares after-hours guidance if we are closed.
Do you offer evening and Saturday visits?
Yes. We are open until 7 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on Saturday mornings, so school and work days stay on track.
